The amazing electronic tool I use to record important journal moments on the go
I have journaled on and off for my entire life. I am a writer at heart and I love the feeling of filling up pages. We are currently renovating our home and my husband was a little disturbed to find all of the boxes and boxes of my completed journals that, by the way, I refuse to throw away.
I got my first journal for Christmas when I was about 8 years old and since then there has been no turning back.
I was that little girl who read lots of books and constantly wrote in a diary. I’ve used journals to capture ideas, moments in time, big events and days that I never want to forget. But mostly for me to process what is going on in my life. My idea is that one day when I can’t remember the details or want to share something with my kids, those journal entries will be there as little guide posts to jog my memory.
For years an electronic journal - just like an electronic calendar - was out of the question for me. I believed that writing it out on paper was the only way to go until I discovered Penzu.
I don’t remember how I found Penzu or if Penzu found me but my journaling life has never been the same. Now, I can quickly log on to the account whether I am sitting in the car or at my laptop to jot down ideas, lessons, or how I am feeling at that very moment.
The other thing that I love about Penzu is that it has different journal templates to guide you as you journal about different areas of your life. They have pregnancy, reflective, dream, Bible and five year templates for example. There are also wedding, food and health diaries to keep you on track.
Here are some huge benefits of journaling:
Allows yourself to self-reflect.
Sparks your creativity.
Helps to relieve stress by allowing to release your anxieties.
Record your ideas on the go and explore them later.
Keeps your thoughts organized by allowing you to record daily feelings and events
Benefits of journaling...priceless
Every once and a while Penzu will send me a past journey entry that takes me right back to the period in my life. There is a gospel song that I remember from my childhood called, ‘I Wouldn’t Take Nothin’ For My Journey Now.’ Getting those little flashbacks or reading through old journals reminds me of my journey and how thankful I am for the road I’ve traveled.
Give Penzu a try!
Journaling my journey is really a way of life for me. How about you? Do you journal and why?
