Attendees Feel the Power of Self Love at Create & Cultivate

Earlier this year, I stumbled upon the Create & Cultivate community. When I read the organization’s mission statement, ‘A movement for women looking to create & cultivate the career of their dreams,’ I was all in. Many of their events are on the west coast so you can imagine my excitement when I received an invite to Create & Cultivate’s Real Talk event at Aerie’s new flagship store here in Miami.

The afternoon of Real Talk featured some powerhouse women including Chante Bryant, Alex Michael May, Aly Raisman and Katie Sturino {just to name a few} in candid conversations about everything from body positivity to online authenticity. The panelists shared their personal journeys in discussions that touched on the business of blogging, what to do about haters, learning to love yourself and online authenticity. The panelists were frank about the time and toll it took on them to find their voice and the blessing and curse of social media. Each provided their take on how they handle the negative comments that often come from being an online success and their personal journey to self love. Tips included incorporating daily affirmations, being as kind to yourself as you would be to your best friend and learning to value yourself beyond your size.

Aerie’s beautiful space located on Lincoln Road can only be described as warm and welcoming with natural light throughout and a bright airy feel. The super cute, chic one-piece bathing suits and collections for play and to slay were designed for real women of all shapes and sizes.

Interactive stations were located throughout the store where you could make scented dream pillows and be a philanthropist – proceeds went to Good360 and hurricane relief. Attendees enjoyed mocktails that were refreshing yummy-ness {even without the alcohol) made with LaCroix Sparkling Water and treated to mini ice cream Sunday’s with fun and decadent toppings like Oreos and Fruity Pebbles.

The perfect ending to a lovely afternoon.
